Chef Ashlyn Timmons has always had a love for food. After working in corporate for 10 years Chef Ashlyn no longer had the desire or passion to continue on the path. She begin  working at local restaurants and cafes in Delaware and Pennsylvania, she decided to open her second restaurant, Gather Around. The restaurant serves progressive fusion cuisine - a mix of different flavors and cooking techniques. In addition, Chef Ashlyn has worked at some of the finest restaurants in Walt Disney World, where she continued to hone her skills in flavor pairing and plating design. She is now bringing her culinary expertise to Gather Around, where she provides her guests with an unforgettable dining experience.

Who or what inspired you to pursue the culinary arts?

When I was a kid, I watched the great chefs on PBS Julia Childs, Jacque Pepin, The Frugal Gourmet with Jeff Smith, and Paul Prudhomme. That is when my passion for cooking begin.

For you, what is the most important part of being a chef?

Creating dishes that provide the guest with a memorable food moment. Also, going to markets, farms, and butchers to get the best quality food and support local businesses.
